This is Taylor's touted Build-To_order. Utilizing the tools that they give, the write ups in Wood and Steel, expert Spectrum analysis gurus and wood matching, I ordered a Cocobola back and sides. Hawaiian Koa binding and back split section. Enghleman spruce top with adriondack bracing. Slim 1 11/16 neck through the GS CE model. Artistic inlays and perflin.

Sounds: [1]
VERY poor. Every time I pick it up, I get angrier, so I leave it alone. The accoustic tones are not balanced across the spectrum. Clarity and ring spil 1-3. 4-6 strings with the highs the loser. Almost muted. I hate the sound of this guitar.

Action, Fit & Finish: [2]
Action poor. From factory poorly set up. Strings way to high. Slim neck ordered with the GS model and wood selection suited for volume and Taylor sends out this setup. Pure genius. Finish is perfect. Hang on the wall and look at it.

Reliability & Durability: [0]
I do not know. Will not play very much, too much money and too much aggravation.

Overall Rating: [4]
Taylor is not interested in making right though they make a pretense in doing so. I have been playing for 50 years and looking for that final, perfect instrument to be proud of and pass on. Taylor IS NOT IT! DO NOT BUY a BTO. Play it, Feel it, hear it. Taylor cannot be trusted. I have owned 4 and the original 810CE that I still play, cannot be beat by any that I purchased as an upgraded guitar.
