Sounds: [9] I use thisguitar for country and for blues. It is well suited for both styles.
I use it with a Fender 15w Blues Junior and a Danelectro fab overdrive; or with a Peavey 50w Valveking and a Fulltone Full Drive 2.
It is very quiet when the overdrive pedals are not activated. More of a bright sound than a full sound(when compared to an Agile 3000 P90 or a Reverend Charger 2900. What I like about the sound is how clear and chimey the tone is. Action, Fit & Finish: [10] Set up was exceptional, this is probably the most comfortable and playable neck on any guitar I own, even faster than the Reverend, which has a satin finish.
The fit and (poly?)finish are excellent,I could not find any flaws. the guitar is very light, well balanced and coimfortable.
Controls are simple, styled after a Tele.
The fit and finish and the general appearance of the guitar is actually better than I expected for the price range Reliability & Durability: [8] All the hardware seems durable and the guitar stays in tune very well. It is definitely suitable for live playing and should hold up well (too soon to say for sure) Overall Rating: [9] I have only had the guitar a few weeks, but it is turning out to be an excellent addition to my collection and really fits the bill for a single coil sound with a humbucker at the bridge for added power.
I wish it had locking tuners, and a bit more space between the 5 way switch and the volume control. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a "Fat Strat" style guitar |
