PricePaid: Not disclosed Purchased From: N/A Model Year: 2005Features: [7] It's the Squire version of the Fender Tele.
Maple neck with 21 frets. Solid alder body with 2 pickups. The specs you'd expect for a tele.
Sounds: [8] Sounds just like a tele should do. It's really nice and sparkly. I play it with my Line 6 spider and it is really punchy. My favorite is the bridge pickup becuase it is so twangy although you can get mellow tones with the neck pickup.
Action, Fit & Finish: [7] I love the butterscotch and love the Vintage series 52 so this means I get a similar look for much less money. The finish just looks great.
When I took this out of the box I was so surprised that it was absolutely flawless. I changed the intonation a bit but that was it.
Reliability & Durability: [9] Had it for 9 months now and it still looks new. I've had no problems with it going out of tune or anything.
Overall Rating: [9] A great guitar for the money. Sure I'd love a Fender but seeing as these Squire's are still (sort of) Fender's I am quite happy. The highway 1's are nice and great value but look how cheap these Squire's are!
I recon even if you have a Fender this would make a really good backup without having to spend loads of extra money. Overall I love my Squire Tele. |
