It's a compact combo with a 1x12 speaker and 30 Watts output. (Three 12AX7 preamp tubes
& Four EL 84 power amp tubes)

It's got a 2 channel preamp (selectable w/ push switch or optional 2 button footswitch). There's a built in reverb and effects send and return. It looks stylish too covered in tweed for that classic look.

It's even got a chrome control panel although that's starting to show signs of age and a small amount of rust is appearing. I have owned it for around 9 years now though.

Even though it is only 30 Watts it is LOUD. Certainly loud enough for practise rooms and smaller venues. It's even carry enough on stage if miked up in large halls.

Sound: [8]
It sounds great clean and cracked up with the gain up high it gives that great blues sound. It'll sound good with most styles except, I guess, heavy metal.

Occassionally I do suffer a rattle but it's not a big deal. Apparently there is a fix but it doesn't worry much as it isn't my main amp now.

Reliability & Durability: [3]
I do love the sound but unfortunately this amp has let me down a couple of times. Within a couple of months of owning it, it went dead. This was fixed under warranty and I can't remember what the exact problem was.

More recently I was rehearsing with it and she went dead and I could smell burning. This time the output transformer had gone. It was fairly expensive to get fixed but I do still love the amp - I just won't depend on it in a live situation anymore.

Overall Rating: [6]
For a small amp she sounds great - it's a good size if you want to be able to really drive a tube amp without blowing your head off.

It's annoying that there have been a couple of problems but maybe I was just unlucky with this one - maybe 2 problems in 9 years was about par for the course - MAYBE!

I won't part with it because I do love the sound - but like I've said, I just won't use it in a live situation unless I have a backup.
