PricePaid: 80 GBP (New) Purchased From: N/A Model Year: N/AFeatures: [8] the amp is a basic marshall 15 watt practise amp with reverb, supposidely. It is a solid state amp with an 8 inch speaker. it has two channels, a clean and overdrive. It has EQ controls for bass contour and treble and volume and gain for the overdrive setting. for it's price features are great but could do with the input for a foot pedal. Sound: [6] Personally i play heavy rock and roll music meaning that this amp is usually thrashed to within an inch of it's life in my bedroom so i found it quite hard to judge it's sound as it's probably not designed for this purpose. the amp does suffer mildly from a slight hiss when not being played and left on and reverb is a load of rubbish, to be honest i can't tell when it's on or off but not bad in general. Reliability & Durability: [9] the amp is amazingly reliable and durable unlike my equivalent Kustom amp which seems to break down half the time i want to use it. occasionally it cracks on and off in the overdrive channel, i'm not sure if this is the ample or my cable. It is a very strong amp obviously built to last. I have not really tested it to it's limits in durability but i would have a good guess that it would cope very well. Overall Rating: [8] if i was going to be an equivalent amp i would probably spend the extra 20 pounds and buy the dfx which has 3 more built in effects. this amp has vary good variation through the equalizer controls. As i said earlier i have an equivalent Kustom amp and i would have the marshall every day of the week compared to the kustom due to it's improved reliability, but also as i said earlier the reverb is almost non existant. |
