PricePaid: 740 USD (New) Purchased From: N/A Model Year: 2004Features: [8] Basically the HA3500 head with a 4x10 cab making a great bass combo.
350 watts power at 4 ohms with tube and solid state preamps with bass, treble and contour controls.
It's got a 10-Band Graphic EQ too.
There is an effects send and return together with balanced XLR output.
It's all enclosed in a very sturdy cabinet structure with carpet covering and very heavy duty corner protectors. And, absolutely essentially it has wheels and side handles for getting up the inevitable stairs that we always tend to face.
Sound: [10] It's got a great range of sound - it can handle low's, mid's and high's with ease and all equally well. If you need a variety of tones for different things it is definately worth trying.
Even playing very loud (to the point the bass is going to detach your eardrum) it still doesn't distort. When I first got this and drove the volume up I thought it was going to knock me over.
Reliability & Durability: [9] Well no problems in the year or so that I've had it. It's taken a few knocks but that's what it is designed to do. I mean you can't carry a bass amp like this around without hitting a few things when taking from benue to venue.
I don't have a spare amp (not big enough for gigs anyway) but I always take my Bass Pod with me just in case. Overall Rating: [9] The first serious amp for me. I say that although I've owned a few - it's just I never had the sound that I was really pleased with - until now. It really is a nice bass amp. I think it is good value for money. |
