Gibson "boutique" amplifier

1 x 8 inch speaker with a 5 watt class A amplifier. Valve powered with 12AX7, EL84 and tubes. (solid state rectifier)

Point to point wiring.

Simple amp without even a tone control!

5 watts but quite loud. I use it in my home/garage studio but have to time it right when I crank it up. The place is fairly well insulated but it does break through.

Clean sound is great - especially for jazz style tones.

I wouldn't really want to play it with a band unless miked up.

With my P90 equipped Gibson archtop the top is fabulous. I play jazz and some blues and this does both well - cranked up for the blues and lower and clean for the jazz.

My son plugs his Strat in too and loves it.

Seems very well made but having only had it for just over a year it's difficult to tell if it'll stand the test of time. So far so good.

Relatively expensive but this is a QUALITY amp.

Pure and simple would just about sum up this Gibson amp.

If you are looking at this then I guess you are considering it. Find one at a store and give it a go - I'm sure you'll be happy with the tone.
