Every thing about this guitar is top quality. Most guitar users know about the guitar and features. Basically, this is a hollow body electric guitar modelled after the ES-175 of old days.

Very nice, smooth sound. Through the distortion pedal, this really sounds great with a glass slide. Great for all types of music, but don't think there is a lot of bending of strings and trickery that can be performed. I leave that to Fender and Ibanez to name a few.

If you buy this guitar, buy it online to save taxes and it will be free shipping. I cannoy tell you whether it was set-up poorly or not because all guitars need set-up out of the box, so I took the unopened guitar to the Guitar Center and had the guitar repair department look at it first. It is funny when the tech pulls it out of the case. It was like a kid in a sandbox. He played it for a few minutes, tuned it up and said there wasn't any additional set-up needed...and he was correct. The guitar is awesome. If I had a flaw, the Guitar Center, where I bought it online, will fix it at the store for free.

For the price, I get very nervous somebody is going to just pick it up at a gig and throw it in their trunk. This is my guitar and I only take it out of my house to play with friends.

Excellent guitar. Never, I mean never, buy the guitar off the shelf. You want a new one right out of the box, so order online. After you receive it, go to any authorized Gibson repair dealer and open it in front of that person so he cannot blame you or anybody but Gibson or the Guitar Center.

This guitar was awful, so many cosmetic and build flaws I can't mention them all.

I sent this guitar back to the factory in Memphis where they held on to it for a year before sending me a replacement guitar. The replacement was worse than the original and fretted out unplayable above the 12th fret.

To make a long story short the factory sent me again another unplayable guitar and after over 2 years I finally demanded my money back.

The folks at the factory were very nice and tried to help me but Gibson can't seem to get it together to build the quality they made many years ago.

The Gibson factory cut me a check for $3100.00 and needless to say the Fender I purchased to replace it was flawless.

Can you actually believe that the factory sent me a refund check because they could not build a decent playable guitar.

Be glad to show you a color copy of the check if you don't believe it!

Check the blogs and strings around the internet about Gibson quality before you buy and then go out and buy another brand.
