The Mini '57 Twin is a mini practice amp from Fender (part no. 023-4811-000). It's tweed covered to look like the old 50s style twin. It's even got a chrome panel with the chicken head knobs and leather handle.

It's 1 watt through 2 x 2" speakers. There is one input with volume tone and even a drive knob.

On the side there is a headphone socket and 9v input for running from a power supply.

For a little practice amp it really is surprisingly good. Having the distortion is a nice touch for such a small amp.

For a really cool sound I tried both my Pandora and Pod XT in line - now they both made it sound excellent.

It is quite well made for the money. It's proper tweed that's covering it too.

Obviously it is just a little electronic box made in China. Who knows if the electronics will stand the test of time but from a construction point of view it looks and feels solid.

Bought as a novelty and talking piece that looks nice sitting in my music room.

I think they did an older version that was just black plastic modelled after the more recent Fender Twin's. However, the tweed cover really sets it off nicely - especially as I love the vintage style so much. It sits nicely with my other tweed amp and the old style Fender cases that I have too.

I am sure they'll be plenty of people buying these because they love old Fender amps and will just display it.
