The Epiphone Thunderbird IV has a big alder body with maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It's got 2 humbucker pickups. It is made in Korea.

Sounds: [7]
Big and deep bass sound. Ideal for rock b ut you won't find too many different sounds. If you like a heavy sound it'll suit you - punk, rock, metal etc.

Action, Fit & Finish: [8]
Well made and has held up with hours and hours of playing. Stays in tune well too.

Reliability & Durability: [7]
Neck is a little bit heavy and you find that if you let go that it can tip towards the floor. It can take you by surprise if you aren't careful.

Electrics are good with no problems experienced.

Overall Rating: [8]
If you can't afford a Gibson Thunderbird (which I can't) this will definately do the job. Overall it is a nice bass and Epiphone have done a good job with this Thunderbird.

Despite it's relatively low cost I think this bass will last a long time.
